Six coaches were given their walking papers by the team, including strength coach Harold Nash, special-teams coordinator John Bonamego, defensive backs coach Brian Stewart, linebackers coach Al Golden, tight ends coach Chris White and assistant strength coach Rodney Hill.

But after the dust settled, defensive coordinator Paul Pasqualoni still remained an official employee of the team.
That comes on the heels of a terrible defensive season by the Lions, who were consistently ranked at or near the bottom of the NFL’s basement on that side of the ball.
