In case you haven’t been paying attention, the Detroit Lions have been running the show in their joint practices against the Miami Dolphins in Allen Park. Day 1 was a full-on Honolulu Blue beatdown, with the Lions dominating on both sides of the ball. Day 2? The Dolphins looked a little sharper, but the highlight reel still heavily favored Detroit.
The “Highlight”
So on Thursday, the Dolphins decided to post a little something on X (formerly Twitter) to give their fans something to smile about, a clip of Tua Tagovailoa lofting a pass to Dee Eskridge for what looked like a pretty corner-of-the-endzone touchdown.
One problem: when you slow it down, Eskridge’s second foot clearly lands out of bounds. No touchdown. No highlight. Just… an incomplete pass.

That’s all it took for Lions fans to pounce. The replies section quickly turned into a digital roast session, with Detroit fans clowning Miami for resorting to posting a non-scoring play as their big practice moment.

Bottom Line
For a team that’s been on the wrong end of these joint practice battles, it was probably slim pickings for the Dolphins’ social media team. But posting an incomplete pass as your top highlight? Yeah… Lions fans weren’t going to let that slide.
