The Detroit Lions wrapped up their 2021 season yesterday afternoon with a home win over their division rival Green Bay Packers at Ford Field, finishing the season 3-13-1 in the first year on the job of head coach Dan Campbell and general manager Brad Holmes.
While the team has already announced a change in personnel this afternoon in bidding goodbye to former offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn, one figure on the team that Campbell doesn’t appear to be worried about is quarterback Jared Goff.
For Goff, who was acquired nearly a year ago in exchange for Matthew Stafford, he led his team on a 75-yard game-winning drive in the 4th quarter, the second such occasion he’s done so this season.
“I know this: He can throw the football,” Campbell said this afternoon. “I like where he’s going.”
Goff finished his first year in the Motor City with 3,245 yards along with 19 touchdowns and eight picks.
