Lions have locals in mind for Thanksgiving halftime show

While the Dallas Cowboys’ halftime show will have Pitbull and his gang dancing all over the AT&T Stadium field on Thanksgiving, the Detroit Lions are looking in their own backyard for their own halftime entertainment.

The Lions announced on Friday that the Detroit Academy of Arts & Sciences Show Choir will perform, along with the Walled Lake Central band & over 75 youth dancers. The Show Choir, which features kids ages 9-13, will have members of their band and dance team perform on the field.

In 2013, Detroit-area artist Tony Lucca performed, while Kid Rock performed in 2012.

The Lions host the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving Day in front of a national audience at 12:30pm on CBS.
