The 24-year-old Walker was drafted by the New Orleans Saints out of Tulsa in 2012. He’s played 23 career games, including all 16 contests last year, registering 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble and 14 tackles. The signing adds depth to the momentarily depleted defensive line.
Walker was non-tendered by the Saints and was able to get more money signing a reported $1.75 million dollar contract with a $750,000 dollar signing bonus.
New Lions DT Tyrunn Walker, 24, made one start, 23 appearances in 2013-14 with Saints and had 28 tackles, 3.5 sacks.
