Lions sign former Inkster standout, Nathan Lindsey

The Detroit Lions used the first of their five empty roster spots as they have signed former Inkster High School standout, Nathan Lindsey.

Lindsey, who plays the safety position, impressed the Lions coaches enough this weekend at rookie minicamp to earn himself a contract with the team.

Following his high school career, Lindsey played college football at Grand Rapids Community College and Eastern Arizona before finally finishing out his college career at Fort Hays State.

Lindsey, who is 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds was one of 31 players who showed up at rookie minicamp for a tryout with the Lions.

In addition to Lindsey, the Lions also signed wide receivers Jarrod Haggins out of Florida State, and Erik Lora, who was cut in 2014 by the Minnesota Vikings.
