The Inkster, MI native played football at Michigan State from 2008 to 2011 before being drafted by the Houston Texans in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He was later traded to the New England Patriots (and Bob Quinn) before being released in 2016.
He signed a free-agent deal with the San Francisco 49ers in September of last year, but was later released. He appeared in one game and amassed 37 kick-return yards and a fumble. After his release from the 49ers, he worked out for both the Broncos and Bears, but didn't sign a deal.
During his five-year career, Martin has 62 receptions for 685 yards and five touchdowns.
