The Lions are signing free agent offensive lineman Garrett Reynolds who was released by the Falcons back in February. Reynolds started 10 games for Atlanta in 2013. However, the 26-year-old lost his starting job at right guard late in the 2013 season.
The terms of the agreement aren’t known as of now, but a minimum salary pact seems likely. The Lions roster is currently at max capacity with 90 players, so once the signing is complete, expect a release to be made to compensate for Reynolds being brought aboard.
Last season Garrett finished with a +3.0 rating, allowing 4 sacks, 3 hits and 22 hurries. The Lions have a fairly solid offensive line as it is, however Reynolds could serve as a high quality backup, and fill a good role if an injury were to take place.
