Last night, Dan Leach of 97.1 tweeted out a rumor that got Detroit Lions fans pretty fired up. That tweet said that, according to a limo driver, All-Pro LB Khalil Mack was in town and was going to be meeting with the Lions on Monday.
Just heard from a Metro Detroit limo driver that he just picked up Raiders LB Khalil Mack and he is going to meet with #Lions GM Bob Quinn Monday. Stay tuned…….

Of course, most fans (including myself) hoped this rumor would be true to but unfortunately, it is not. On Monday, Kyle Meinke of MLive tweeted out that there was no truth to the rumor.
There is nothing to the Khalil Mack-to-Detroit rumors.

Now, before you allow yourself to get too bummed out, remember this. Just because this rumor happened to be false does not mean the Lions are out of the running for Mack. Speculation is that the Raiders are still interested in trading him and you can bet the Lions could use his services.
So, until it is determined that Mack will remain with the Raiders or he is traded to another team, the Lions still have a chance!
