Friday was officially Veterans Day. But really all weekend, many teams, college and professional, are paying honor and tribute in various ways to the armed forces around the world as way of thanking them to the service. Quite frankly, we should always remind ourselves to do it and think about the brave men and women who fight for our freedom and rights everyday.
Anyway, here is a laundry list of various college football teams that showed the utmost class and respect for the military. We start with the Northwestern Wildcats. On their roster is 32-year-old Tom Hruby, a former Navy SEAL who previously served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. The Northwestern senior after his team’s 45-17 over Purdue on Saturday was carried off by his teammates.
