Through the first five days of Detroit Lions‘ OTAs, there has been no Damon Harrison.
Though this does not come as a huge surprise, as some veterans choose not to attend the voluntary workouts, Harrison’s absence has certainly caught the attention of plenty of Lions Nation.

You see, with just two years left on his contract, Harrison not only wants to get paid, but he deserves to get paid and this could be why he has not been present for OTAs.
On Saturday night, just two days before the Lions’ mandatory minicamp gets underway, Harrison (better known as ‘Snacks’ around these parts) tweeted out a cryptic message which may or may not have to do with a contract extension.
“In due time all of my actions including how I ended up being traded will be explained…but for now I’ll let the speculations continue. Major news coming soon though!!!”

Because he plays nose tackle, Harrison has been snubbed from the Pro Bowl year after year, but there is no question about it that he is one of the most dominant (if not THE most dominant) run defenders in the NFL.
Harrison is now on the wrong side of 30 but you can bet he will get paid by somebody, especially if he continues his dominance on the defensive side of the ball.
The only question is, will it be the Detroit Lions that pay him?
