This coming fall will be the 19th installment of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge in men's college basketball. It's proven to be a terrific annual ‘mini tournament' if you will between two of the major conferences in the sport, and it's led to other conferences forming similar events.
On Monday, we learned of the schedule for the 2017 edition of the challenge between the Big Ten and ACC, at least the dates.

A new-look and lesser-experienced Michigan Wolverines will be traveling to Chapel Hill and play defending national champion North Carolina.
It'll be just the sixth meeting all-time between the schools and first since the 1993 National Championship Game. It's often remembered as the game former Michigan ‘Fab Five' member Chris Webber called a timeout that his team did not have late in the game. North Carolina went on to win, 77-71.
As for the Spartans, their tilt with Notre Dame will be the second meeting between the two programs in the last four seasons. They both played each other in the 2014 Big Ten/ACC Challenge, a 79-78 overtime win for the Irish in South Bend.

Prior to the 2014 meeting, the two schools had not played each other since 1979. Both MSU and Notre Dame were perennial rivals on the hardwood for 70+ years. In fact, only Michigan was a more common opponent for the Spartans during that time. This year's match-up will be the first game between the two played at the Breslin Center.
Here is a complete look at the 2017 Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Tip-off times have not been announced, but all games will be televised on the ESPN family of networks. Every team in the Big Ten participates, while all but one from the ACC play; Pittsburgh is the odd man out this year.
