LOOK: Detroit Lion included on ‘trade candidate’ list

The National Football League trade deadline is on October 30th and the rumors are starting to heat up.

Chris Wesseling from NFL.com recently released an article titled, “Top 10 Trade Candidates, the Le'Veon Bell Conundrum,” and a Detroit Lion was included on the list.

According to Wesseling, Ameer Abdullah, who has been wiped out of the Lions offensive game plan this season, is a candidate who could be dealt.

From NFL.com:

“If interested teams strike out on Coleman, they may consider Abdullah as a consolation prize. Now that rookie Kerryon Johnson and veteran LeGarrette Blount are entrenched as the top backs on the depth chart, Abdullah is an afterthought in coordinator Jim Bob Cooter's weekly game plans. Yet to see a carry this season, the former second-round pick was a healthy scratch for the entire month of September. As a 2019 free agent, he's not long for Detroit.”

With Jamal Agnew injured, there is a chance that Abdullah could be used more in the return game, but it seems unlikely that he will crack the running back rotation any time soon.

Mario Impemba and Rod Allen’s replacements will be…

As most of you probably know by now, Mario Impemba and Rod Allen have called their final game for FSN Detroit and the Detroit Tigers.

In early September, the two long-time booth partners were involved in an altercation that reportedly got physical in nature. Both Impemba and Allen were suspended for the remainder of the 2018 season and on Tuesday, it was revealed that they will not be returning to the booth in 2019.

So, the question becomes, who replaces Impemba and Allen on the FSN Detroit telecasts?

In my opinion, the answer to that question is a no-brainer.

Replacing Mario Impemba

First of all, let me begin by saying that Mario Impemba is a class act and it will be sad to watch Tigers’ telecasts without hearing his voice. He is a true professional and it’s sad that things eventually came to this point.
