Golden Tate is no longer a Detroit Lion.
On Tuesday, just hours before the NFL trade deadline, news broke that Tate was being dealt to the Philadelphia Eagles for a third-round pick.
Following the move, Twitter absolutely exploded with fans and players reacting to the move, including the Detroit Lions, who tweeted out a ‘thank you’ photo to Tate.

During his time in the Motor City, Tate was the Lions most consistent receiver as he eclipsed the 90-catch mark in each of his first four seasons in Detroit. This season, Tate had 44 catches in the Lions first seven games.
Tate became a fan-favorite during his time with the Lions and he will always be in their hearts.

Detroit Lions DL Ricky Jean Francois calls out teammates following loss to Seahawks
The Detroit Lions should be embarrassed after their abysmal performance during Sunday’s 28-14 loss at home to the Seattle Seahawks. After all, the Lions were dominated in all three phases of the game as the Seahawks were clearly the more prepared team and the team that wanted the win the most.
Following the game, Lions defensive lineman Ricky Jean Francois spoke to the media and he was clearly not thrilled as he called out his teammates.
“We didn’t focus on nothing, we couldn’t stop the run, and we let the Seattle offense control the game. We killed ourselves in penalties, we didn’t connect with their plays and we didn’t focus at all. We were just out there playing.”
I just want everybody to lock back in. Lock in for these next 10 weeks, just lock in. Leave everything else alone outside of this building. I know you love your family, but tell them you will see them in February. Just lock in and do your job.”
