On Thursday morning, news broke that Chris Cornell, the lead vocalist for Soundgarden, was found dead in his hotel room just hours after performing at the FOX Theatre in Detroit. Sources have confirmed to 7 Action News that the death was caused from “an apparent suicide.”

The Detroit Tigers have paid their respects to Cornell, who was only 52, by including Soundgarden song titles as heading in the game notes that are given to members of the press.

This is a very cool gesture by the Tigers.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Chris Cornell.
