Throughout Justin Verlander‘s time with the Detroit Tigers, a saying emerged for whenever he was pitching well, especially if he had a no-hitter going.
That saying was, “must-see JV” and we heard it quite often through the years.
Well, though it was only the bottom of the third inning on Wednesday night, Verlander had not yet allowed a hit. That is until Tigers’ outfielder JaCoby Jones stepped to the plate and hammered a Verlaner 96-mph fastball 436 feet to left field for his third home run of the season.
Following the home run, whoever runs the Tigers’ Twitter account trolled Verlander brilliantly by tweeting a “Must see JaCoby” message along with video of Jones bomb.
