Coming off a terrible year in 2016, the Michigan State Spartans have had much to prove this college football season. Mark Dantonio has certainly rallied his players and has created an identity for his team as they continue to play hard in every game. If the Spartans can win the rest of their games this season, they will be the Big Ten East Champions. The first step will be taking down Penn State University and their Heisman Trophy candidate running back Saquon Barkley.

Michigan State fans waited patiently all week for their ultra-important matchup on Saturday against the Penn State Nittany Lions. After all, despite losing to Northwestern last weekend, the Spartans still control their own destiny in the Big Ten East. In fact, if they were to take down Penn State this week and Ohio State next week, they would be in the driver’s seat in the division.
