Spring Training is finally underway for the new-look Detroit Tigers as they begin their preparations for the 2018 Major League Baseball season.

As we know, the roster will look much different than it did a year ago as the team traded some of their previous core including Justin Verlander, Justin Upton, Ian Kinsler and J.D. Martinez.

On Tuesday, Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press tweeted out a playful message about how he had yet to see Verlander at the Tigers camp in Lakeland, Florida.

Verlander, of course, was traded to the Houston Astros just before the MLB trade deadline last season and he went on to win his first World Series. It was a move that broke the hearts of many Tigers fans as JV had been a constant in the Old English D for so many years.

Upon seeing Fenech’s tweet, Verlander responded with a tweet of his own.

Some of the responses to JV’s tweet show how much Tigers fans still care for their former Ace.
