WATCH: Kelly Stafford tells twins daddy will be with Lions for six more years


On Monday night, news broke that the Detroit Lions had signed Matthew Stafford to a 5-year, $135 million extension, making him the highest paid player in NFL history.

Watch as Stafford’s wife, Kelly, breaks the news to their twin baby girls that they will be staying in Detroit for six more years.

Kelly included the message, “When daddy and mommy whispered to us we would be spending 6 more years in Detroit…Hope y’all are as excited as we are! #GOLIONS #THANKYOUDETROIT #HOME”

The deal reportedly includes a $50 million signing bonus and $92 million in guaranteed money, both with are also NFL records.
