If you are a fan of the Detroit Tigers, the 2018 season is going to have a much different feel than what you have gotten used to. With players like Justin Verlander, J.D. Martinez, Ian Kinsler, and Justin Upton gone from the Tigers roster, the Opening Day lineup will look nowhere near what it looked like a year ago.
The Tigers are clearly in a rebuilding phase which means we can expect quite a few bumps in the road before the team gets back to contending for titles.
So, the question is, how many games will the Tigers win in 2018? After going 64-98 in 2017 most agree this year’s team will be worse talent-wise but does that equate to fewer wins? Well, not necessarily.
According to the Westgate Superbook in Las Vegas, the over/under as far as wins go for the Detroit Tigers is currently set at 67.5.

The most exciting thing about the Detroit Tigers these days are discussions surrounding their talent in the minor leagues. Every fan continues to spout the common refrain that, “this team is going to lose 100 games this season,” or even worse, “I can’t wait to watch the Triple-A Detroit Tigers take the field this season.” While expectations are low, the future is bright.
