WATCH: Matthew Stafford makes appearance in ‘NFL 2018: A Bad Lip Reading’

Published

on

Just in time for Sunday’s Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles, the 2018 “A Bad Lip Reading” video for the NFL was released. We are sure there are some moments from the Super Bowl that could make this video but we will have to settle for clips from the season. If you have never seen these videos before, they are simply put: hysterical.

What makes this version of “A Bad Lip Reading” even more special is that it happens to include Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford. Who knows, maybe in the future they can just do a full video of Lions Pro Bowl cornerback Darius Slay. Of course, they probably could just use Slay’s exact words!

Enjoy the show!

MUST SEE: Pistons owner Tom Gores was very….spirited

Oh, to be a billionaire. Private jets, mansions, owning an NBA team…and limitless beverage service courtside.

Detroit Pistons owner Tom Gores made a rare appearance at a game of the team that he owns, but his presence was appropriate considering the franchise-altering trade his team just completed for five-time All-Star Blake Griffin.

On the sidelines, let’s just say that Gores looked like he’d been raising several glasses to toast the new look team.

Mittens’ Top 5 American Sports “Holidays”

Even rock dwellers know there is a kind-of-a-big-deal football game this Sunday, February 4th. It’s the last real competitive football game for Americans to take in until the 1st of September when collegiate ball takes center stage.

The Super Bowl has become a national albeit unofficial holiday here in the states. Don’t believe me? According to Statista, Americans will spend almost $90 on average partaking in Super Bowl festivities. That’s on par with and even exceeds Halloween spending. It really is in a commercial league of its own with consumers. This Sunday will be the 52nd edition of the single greatest event in American sports.

Earlier this week, Kelly Stafford‘s brother posted a photo on Instagram which showed Kelly in the hospital preparing for brain surgery.

Since that post, there have not been any updates on Kelly and all we can do is keep her in our thoughts and prayers that all went well and she has a speedy and successful recovery.

On Saturday night, former Detroit Lions‘ cornerback Nevin Lawson took to Twitter to send his prayers out for Kelly the Stafford family.

Please continue to pray for Kelly Stafford and her family as they go through this difficult time.

Detroit Lions ‘All-Local’ 2019 NFL Mock Draft

Published

on

This coming Thursday, the 2019 NFL Draft will officially begin.

Over the past few months, if you are anything like me, you have read literally hundreds upon hundreds of Detroit Lions’ mock drafts.

So, I figured it would be fun to think outside the box (but inside the state) to come up with what an ‘All-local’ Lions draft could look like.

Check it out.

Round 1 – Devin Bush Jr. (LB) Michigan or Rashan Gary (DL) Michigan

Round 2 – Justin Layne (CB) Michigan State or David Long (CB) Michigan

Round 3 – Sean Bunting (CB) Central Michigan or Chase Winovich (DL) Michigan

Round 4 – Maxx Crosby (Edge) Eastern Michigan

Round 5 – Khari Willis (S) Michigan State

Round 6 – Xavier Crawford (CB) Central Michigan

Round 6 – Karan Higdon (RB) Michigan

Round 7 – Zach Gentry (TE) Michigan

Round 7 – LJ Scott (RB) Michigan State

Now, I know there is a .0000001% chance of this actually happening, but those players should be available when the Lions are on the clock in each round.
