2018 is a season both Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions would rather not remember.
Though Stafford completed 66.1% of his passes, he only threw for 3,777 yards (lowest total in his career when playing 16 games) to go with just 21 touchdowns.

The smart bet (in my opinion) is that Stafford will bounce back with a big season in 2019, but where is he in the NFL MVP conversation?
Well, according to the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas, Stafford is currently listed at 80-1 to win the 2019 AP NFL MVP award. Those odds give him the 15th (tied) best chance to be named Most Valuable Player this coming season.

As you can see above, Patrick Mahomes (4-1) is currently the odds on favorite to win the MVP award, followed by Aaron Rodgers and Andrew Luck, who both have 8-1 odds.
