Michigan fans are going to LOVE what Brandon Peters just said

The University of Michigan has quite a log-jam at the quarterback position (which is not exactly a bad thing), and the leader in the clubhouse pre-Shea Patterson was Brandon Peters.

Peters, a redshirt freshman who waited while both Wilton Speight and John O’Korn took their turn at leading the Wolverines, took control of the team at the end of October against Rutgers and lead the team for a month until getting knocked out against Wisconsin near the end of November.

Well, with the addition of Ole Miss transfer Shea Patterson, Peters could’ve lashed out, and understandably so, as he’s already trying to fend off football royalty in true-freshman Dylan McCaffrey. But Peters seems more focused on the upcoming Outback Bowl than the incoming competition.

Peters seems to understand the situation pretty well for a 19-year-old kid.

Between his comments and his father’s comments, you get a pretty good sense that the Peters’ boys have a good head on their shoulders. Which should bode well for the younger Peters as he knows he’s got some stiff competition brewing for the 2018 season, a season he is rather optimistic about.

All in all, whether it’s Peters, McCaffrey, or Patterson, the Wolverine’s will be much more prosperous at the quarterback position in 2018 than they were this past season. Well, as long as their offensive line does a better job in 2018 than they did this past season. Either way, the maturity Brandon Peters has shown throughout this whole ordeal is exactly the strength of mind you want in your field general.
