On Sunday, the Modern Baseball Era committee of the Baseball Hall of Fame announced that Whitaker is not one of the inductees for the Class of 2020.
Whitaker would have joined his former teammate Alan Trammell, who was inducted in 2018.
In his career (1977-1995), Whitaker batted .276 with 244 home runs and 1,084 RBIs.
This is a travesty.
