Manny Ramirez had an amazing career in the MLB. He hit 555 career home runs, had over 1,800 RBIs, and hit .312 for his career. The 12-time All-Star also led the Boston Red Sox to their first World Series title in 86 years.
By all accounts, Ramirez was a superstar during his time in the league.
However, all of those numbers and accomplishments were completely overshadowed and rendered meaningless by this home run call by the Japanese announcers when Manny went deep for the Kochi Fighting Dogs on Saturday.
Check it out.

Legendary. Legendary call.
For reference, Manny Ramirez has been married to Juliana Ramirez since 2001. They have three children together and all signs point towards a good life, somewhat stable life (sort of), meaning this home run call probably doesn’t apply to him. It can’t, right?
Some lass must’ve really upset this announcer in the very recent past for him to drop this incredible home run call. One could only imagine this exact or some variation of it being utilized by an announce here state side.
The Kochi Fighting Dogs do not have much of a website to look up the hall-of-fame announcer who made this call, but I will say this: Bring those types of calls over to the States and viewership skyrockets to the moon.
I’d throw copious amounts of money at the MLB to give me Joe Buck saying “It’s a deep fly ball to center field, way back, and that ball is out of here, like your dad after he found out your mom’s credit card debt and flawed sexual history.”
