The Detroit Lions biggest need throughout this season has been a run-stopping defensive lineman. That is exactly what they got this week when they sent a fifth-round draft pick to the New York Giants for Damon Harrison.
Harrison was in the Motor City and practiced with the Lions for the first time on Thursday. But the big question is, will he make his debut with the Lions this coming Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks or will we have to wait another week while he gets up to speed?
On Friday, Lions head coach Matt Patricia talked about Harrison and the chances that he plays this week.
Matt Patricia said they’re going through the process of getting Damon Harrison up to speed and ready to play but wouldn’t guarantee he will play Sunday vs. Seattle

Via ESPN's Michael Rothstein:
“Matt Patricia said “it's a good question” whether or not Damon “Snacks” Harrison can be ready to go by Sunday. Said they are doing the best they can going through the process. Said the best advantage for coming in quick is he's been coached by some guys who have worked with Patricia. Patricia is hoping for “a quick transition.”
To be completely honest, I would be very surprised if “Snacks” sits out on Sunday. In fact, I expect him to be in the game a lot on 1st and 2nd down.
