Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia joined media members via Zoom conference call on Thursday prior to the team’s practice session, during which he revealed that several members of the team will be limited today as they rehabilitate from injuries.
And among other topics that he discussed, he lent a helping hand to one media member during the call – he looked out for his safety and driving record!
“Can you pull over? I don’t even know if this is legal right now,” he said to one media member, who was apparently conducting his end of the call while driving.
You can’t say that the Lions head coach doesn’t have a sense of humor!
Additionally, Patricia spoke of picking up the tempo of things in practice to gauge where his players are at physically before their first matchup with the Chicago Bears on September 13:
