He’s fresh off his first career Super Bowl victory, and now he’s got himself a hefty new contract extension.
According to multiple reports, the Los Angeles Rams are signing Matthew Stafford to a four year contract extension worth a reported $160 million, with a whopping guaranteed $135 million.

Stafford would have been eligible to become an unrestricted free agent next summer without an extension. He spent the first decade of his career with the Detroit Lions after the franchise selected him 1st overall in 2009, and was traded last January to the Rams for a package that included QB Jared Goff and multiple draft picks.
