Matthew Stafford breaks NFL record during Week 7 game vs. Vikings

We knew he would get it, the only question was when.

During his Week 7 matchup vs. the Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford became the quickest in NFL history throw for 40,000 yards in his career.

Heading into Sunday’s game, Stafford needed just 87 yards to hit the milestone.

In all, it took Stafford just 147 games to reach 40K, three games quicker than Matt Ryan (151 games) and Aaron Rodgers (154 games).
