On Friday, the Detroit Lions announced that they will not have fans in the stands for their first two home games of the 2020 season.
Thanks to the screaming fans, Lions QB Matthew Stafford is used to having a nice advantage when his team takes the field in their home stadium something the Lions won’t have until at least November.
Following Friday’s training camp practice, Stafford spoke to the media and gave his thoughts about playing in an empty Ford Field.
“I think this year’s just going to be show up and play … It’s for sure going to be different than I’m used to hearing Ford Field going crazy. That’ll be different, but so is everything in 2020.”
