On Sunday, Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was forced to miss the Lions game vs. the Chicago Bears with a fractured back.
A day later, Stafford talked to the media about the decision that went into him missing Sunday’s game.
Stafford said he felt really good in practice last week and was as surprised as anyone that Friday’s scan showed a problem

Stafford reiterated that this is not the same injury that you were dealing with last year and that he hopes to play this coming Sunday against the Cowboys.
