ORIGINAL REPORT FROM SATURDAY:
This past Sunday, Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was unable to complete the game against the Green Bay Packers after he suffered a big hit in the fourth quarter. Following the game, Stafford had X-rays performed, which thankfully showed he did not have broken ribs. That being said, he has reportedly been in a great deal of pain and most believed he would not be able to play in Week 15 when the Lions take on the Tennessee Titans.
Well, this is Matthew Stafford we are talking about and we all know he is made of iron.
On Saturday, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that Stafford may do the improbable as he is “now preparing to play tomorrow vs. the Titans.”
In a dramatic turn, #Lions QB Matthew Stafford (ribs) is now preparing to play tomorrow vs the #Titans, sources say. What seemed improbable early on should be reality tomorrow. It’s why no one ever wants to rule him out…

Stafford has made it pretty clear that he will only play if he feels like he gives the Lions the best chance to win, so this is a good sign in regards to how his ribs are feeling.
