Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is as tough as they come, but every player has limits as to the physical toll the game takes on their bodies.
Stafford took a massive hit from the Green Bay Packers defense and emerged with clear discomfort. After talking with team medical personnel on the sidelines, he would soon disappear down the tunnel, though didn’t head to the locker room.
Matthew Stafford to the locker room. Chase Daniel now warming up for the Lions.

Backup quarterback Chase Daniel began to warm up to take Stafford’s place.
Being the warrior that he is, Stafford returned to the sideline and took a few practice throws, but immediately began favoring his abdomen.
Same thing: Stafford takes four or five practice throws, walks away, hunches over grabbing his midsection/left side rib area. Now Chase Daniel warming again. Looks like he might be going in.

He’s since been listed as questionable with a rib injury.
