On Tuesday, Detroit Lions fans and many of their players were shocked to hear that Quandre Diggs had been traded to the Seattle Seahawks for a fifth-round draft pick.

A day later, the Lions were back on the practice field as they continued their preparations for the New York Giants.
Following practice, Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford talked about the Diggs trade. Stafford notes that Diggs is a good friend of his and that seeing him traded is tough.
From Detroit Free Press:
Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford said he spoke to Diggs on Tuesday as well. He called Diggs “a good buddy of mine” and “great player for us,” but said his only focus now is on the Giants.
“Those decisions happen,” Stafford said. “I talked to him yesterday, and it was good to talk to him and see where he was at. But it’s tough. He was a guy in our locker room that a lot of the guys really enjoyed being around. You guys were around him, I mean you guys know, he was a good guy to be around. Just wish him nothing but the best of luck and hopefully a ton of success in Seattle.”
The NFL is a business and though losing Diggs is tough, the players all understand this is a business and these things can happen without notice.
