Unless something crazy happens, on Thursday night, Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford will pass a very recognizable name on the NFL career passing yards list.
When the Lions take the field against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football, Stafford will be only 60 yards shy of tying Packers great Bart Starr for No. 70 on the all-time passing yards list.
Stafford currently has 24,658 passing yards as he plays in his seventh season with the Lions. Starr compiled 24,718 yards in 16 seasons with the Packers.
The Lions signal-caller is coming off his best game of the season as he completed 27 of 38 passes for 337 yards and five touchdowns against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thanksgiving Day. Stafford will look to lead the Lions to their fourth consecutive victory as they face a Packers team which has struggled as of late under the leadership of quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
What do you think Nation, can the Lions keep the good times rolling?
