On Tuesday the Detroit Lions made an interesting and potentially helpful move when they signed veteran wide receiver, Lance Moore.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford is very happy to have Moore on board and he looks forward to having him on the field along with Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate.
On Tuesday night the team held their annual Taste of the Lions event at Ford Field. Stafford gave his thoughts on the Moore signing.
“He seems like a great guy,” Stafford said “Obviously has great knowledge of the system. It’s changed a little bit and we talked about that, but not too much where it’ll be tough for him to learn it.
“Once he gets caught up to speed as to where we line up, our formations have changed some. Other than that, the route tree for him is very similar, so we’ll see what happens. He’s obviously a guy that’s proven himself in this offense and this league.”
Stafford and the Lions offense struggled to put up points in 2014 and they have to be better in 2015 if they want to help the team make the playoffs for the second straight season.
Could Moore be the missing piece to the puzzle the Lions have been looking for?
