With the No. 1 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions selected QB Matthew Stafford out of Georgia.
Over the next 12 seasons, Stafford would go on to set many Lions’ all-time passing records and what he and his wife Kelly did off of the field for the Detroit community was nothing short of amazing.
But when the 2021 season starts, Stafford will be playing for another team as he has been traded to the Los Angeles Rams.
On Saturday, Kelly posted a photo to Instagram of her watching Matthew walk around Ford Field for one last time.
“A lot of emotions as I watched Matthew walk around Ford Field for the last time this morning .. a place full of incredible memories that we shared with 65,000 of our closest friends.. so proud and grateful to have been a part of that family. #staffordstrong“
