Lions QB Matthew Stafford’s MVP odds revealed

The most valuable player on the Detroit Lions is obviously quarterback Matthew Stafford, but how does he stack up against the rest of the NFL?

When it comes to predicting this season’s MVP, Stafford’s chances aren’t near the top of the list.

This will be his 11th season in the NFL, and he enters it with 80-to-1 odds of winning the MVP award. Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes (6-to-1) and Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers (9-to-1) are the favorites to win, but Stafford’s chances are the same as Antonio Brown, Marcus Mariota and Derek Carr.

Of course, the only Lions player to win MVP was the great Barry Sanders, who shared the honor with Brett Favre in 1997.
