We all knew that the Big Ten Coach of the Year award could come down to Michigan State head coach Mel Tucker and Michigan head coach, Jim Harbaugh and that is exactly how things played out on Tuesday.
According to reports, Tucker edged out Harbaugh by just one vote to win the Big Ten Coach of the Year award for the 2021 season.
Tucker, who was in his second year with the Spartans, led them to a ten-win season and a berth in the Peach Bowl. He also led the Spartans to a win over Michigan.
Harbaugh, who finished second in the voting lead Michigan to a 12-1 season, including a Big Ten Championship Game win over Iowa. The No. 2 Wolverines will take on the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs in the College Football Semifinals on December 31.
Nation, who do you think should have won this award?
