Detroit Tigers pitcher Michael Fulmer didn’t enjoy an ideal 2020 campaign. In fact, it was downright rough.
The 2016 AL Rookie of the Year made 10 three-inning starts last season after returning from Tommy John surgery and posted an 8.78 ERA in 27⅔ innings.
He described he season in blunt terms:
Michael Fulmer on his 2020 season: "It was embarrassing for me."

Determined to get back to a playing weight that’s most comfortable for him, Fulmer was able to put on some “good” weight while working out at his home in Oklahoma:
Fulmer said he has put some "good weight" back on, up to 220 pounds from around 210 last year. He felt strength was an issue at times last season.

Fulmer has also begun working with new Tigers pitching coach Chris Fetter.
