On Friday night, Michigan State went into Evanston and took care of business by easily disposing of a Northwestern team that won the Big Ten West in 2020.
Then, on Saturday, Michigan got off to a great start by destroying Western Michigan by a score of 47-14 at the Big House.
Well, the latest ESPN FPI (Football Power Index) rankings have been released and both the Spartans and Wolverines made a huge move.
In fact, both teams moved up a whopping 15 spots in the rankings as Michigan is now No. 13 while Michigan State comes in at No. 22.
