Michigan announces ‘Maize Out’ opponent for 2022

In 2021, the Michigan Wolverines had an amazing season that included a win over Ohio State, a Big Ten Championship Game win over Iowa, and their first-ever berth in the College Football Playoffs.

One of the Wolverines’ most exciting games in 2021 came under the lights when they hosted Washington in their “Maize Out” game at the Big House in Ann Arbor.

During that game, 110,000+ fans wore maize and the stadium was rocking from the opening kickoff.

Michigan announces 2022 ‘Maize Out’ game at the Big House

Well, since the idea was so successful in 2021, Michigan has decided to have another ‘Maize Out’ game in 2022.

The Michigan athletic department has revealed that their 2022 ‘Maize Out’ game will take place on October 15 against the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Last year’s ‘Maize Out’ game against Washington was under the lights and it would be awesome if this year’s game against Penn State was the same but a game time has not yet been released.

When the Wolverines and Nittany Lions squared off in 2021, it took a late 47-yard touchdown from quarterback Cade McNamara to tight end Erick All to steal a victory in Happy Valley.
