What: Michigan Wolverines(0-0) vs. Appalachian State Mountaineers(0-0)
Time: 12:00
Where: Michigan Stadium Ann Arbor, MI
Head coach Brady Hoke leads the Michigan Wolverines into the 2014 season trying to bounce back from an abysmal 7-6 season where they ended the season with a 31-14 loss to Kansas State in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. Quarterback Devin Gardner didn’t start that Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl game, sitting the game out with a toe injury, but he threw for 2,960 yards, completed 60.3% of his passes, and threw 21 touchdowns to 11 interceptions in his first full season as the starter.
Running back Derrick Green looks to take on a larger told in his sophomore season after he totaled up 270 yards and 2 touchdowns on 83 carries last season. Green and junior RB Justice Hayes will share the carries. Devin Funchess moves over to WR to replace the departed Jeremy Gallon and Dennis Norfleet moves into the #2 WR role.
Let’s all hope for a better season in Ann Arbor than last season. Last season was rough for Michigan fans everywhere.
Last, but not least, let’s hope Michigan can get their revenge against Appalachian State. We all remember that 34-32 shocking upset loss in 2007. I say Michigan wins this game 35-17 getting their revenge.
