Time and time again, we have seen four and five-star true freshman recruits hyped up before they have even participated in a single college practice, and time and time again, we have seen those recruits take longer than some expected to adapt to college football.
But every now and then, one of those true freshmen walks on to the college field and they make their presence felt right off the bat.
It looks like one of those players is Michigan true freshman safety, Makari Paige, out of West Bloomfield High School.
On Wednesday, Michigan defensive coordinator Don Brown took to Twitter to congratulate Paige on earning “Guy” status. Brown noted that Paige “has been competing at a high level since he got to campus.”
