If you have been paying attention to college football since the regular season ended, you have almost certainly heard about all of the big-named players opting out of their team’s bowl game to prep for 2022 NFL Draft.
Some of the players to opt-out of their team’s bowl game include Michigan State RB Kenneth Walker III, Ohio State WRs Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson, Pittsburgh QB Kenny Pickett, and Oregon DE Kayvon Thibodeaux.
Those players are among a group who believe that putting their own future in the NFL ahead of the team they played with all season long to get to this point is the correct decision.
On Wednesday, Michigan DE Aidan Hutchinson, who most believe will be a top 2 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, was asked about skipping a bowl game to prep for the draft and he made his thoughts VERY clear.
Hutchinson said he does not think skipping a bowl game, including the College Football Playoff would have been an option for him or Josh Ross.
“We wouldn’t leave our team out to dry ever,” Hutchinson said.
Damn! A little shade towards the Spartans and Buckeyes!
