Michigan DE Eyabi Okie makes shocking decision

It was quite a season for the Michigan Wolverines as they beat Ohio State and MSU, and won another Big Ten Championship, before advancing to the College Football Playoff. Though the Wolverines are expected to be a very good team in 2023, they are certainly going to look a bit different as multiple players have either decided to transfer or declare for the 2023 NFL Draft. On Thursday, Wolverines DE Eyabi Okie made a decision that shocked quite a few people.

What decision did Michigan DE Eyabi Okie make?

According to a report from Bruce Feldman, Okie has decided to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal.

As noted by Feldman, Okie is a former 5-star who started off his college career at Alabama. During the 2022 season, he had 2.5 sacks and 3.5 TFLs for the Wolverines.

Feldman also notes that he would be surprised if Okie does not end up at Charlotte, as his high school head coach Biff Poggi is now their head coach. Poggi was with the Wolverines this past season.
