Michigan dismisses WR Csont’e York from the program

The Michigan Wolverines football program announced on Monday night that sophomore WR Csont’e York has been dismissed from the program. York faces three assault charges from an incident a bar in Ann Arbor where he allegedly punched a man. York left the man with a broken jaw in three places.

“Csont’e York has been dismissed from the Michigan football program,” Hoke said in a released statement. “Representing the University of Michigan is a privilege and, while second chances are certainly deserved, sometimes it’s better for everyone if that happens somewhere else. Overall, I have been proud of how responsible our team has been this offseason and how hard they’ve worked to prepare for the season.”

Head coach Brady Hoke absolutely did the right thing here. You have to hold these players accountable and what York did was awful. He sucker punched somebody and now he is paying the price.

York isn’t a big loss either, he only played in one game as a freshman last year and he wasn’t projected as a starter this season.
