Here we go! Michigan football has made its wardrobe choice for the Citrus Bowl, and it’s a clean, classic look.

The Wolverines announced that they’ll take the field against Texas on Wednesday afternoon in white jerseys with maize pants, topped off with the iconic winged helmet. The reveal came in a fun way, through a video inspired by the EA Sports College Football video game, where the “user” scrolls through options before landing on the white-and-maize combo.

A Change from Recent Bowl Traditions

What makes this combo interesting is that it’s a break from Michigan’s recent bowl-game trend. The Wolverines have worn blue jerseys in each of their last four bowl appearances, including:

  • 2021 Orange Bowl vs. Georgia
  • 2022 Fiesta Bowl vs. TCU
  • 2023 Rose Bowl vs. Alabama
  • 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl vs. Alabama

They also wore blue in the 2024 national championship win over Washington.

This year, though, Michigan is flipping the script with the road look, and honestly, the white-and-maize combo always pops under the Florida sun.

A Classic Look for a Big Matchup

The Citrus Bowl already feels like a heavyweight matchup, and Michigan rolling out one of its cleanest uniforms just adds to the vibe. The winged helmet never misses, and pairing it with white tops and bright maize pants strikes that perfect mix of tradition and swagger.

Kickoff can’t come soon enough.
