Michigan football has secured another major commitment for its 2025 recruiting class. On Wednesday morning, four-star offensive lineman Ty Haywood from Denton (Texas) Ryan announced his commitment to the Wolverines as the traditional signing period kicks off.
The 6-foot-6, 300-pound Haywood, ranked as the No. 39 overall prospect and No. 6 offensive tackle in the nation by the 247Sports Composite rankings, initially committed to Alabama in July. However, he did not sign with the Crimson Tide during the early signing period in December, leaving the door open for Michigan to make a strong push.
Haywood’s commitment marks a significant win for the Wolverines, adding a highly touted offensive lineman to their already impressive 2025 class. His decision bolsters Michigan’s future in the trenches and further solidifies their place as a force in college football recruiting.
