Michigan football will be getting some new scoreboards at the Big House, and on Tuesday, the university unveiled some renderings as to what the updated Michigan Stadium scoreboards will look like once they are completed.
What will the new Michigan scoreboards look like?
According to the university, “The project is self-funded by the University of Michigan Athletic Department. All costs for the project derive from gifts to Michigan Athletics, specifically restricted to capital improvements.”

When will the new Michigan Football scoreboards be installed?
According to Michigan Athletics, the work on the new scoreboards will begin following the 2022 season, and they will be installed and ready to use beginning with the 2023 season.
The full project is broad in scope, encompassing a full replacement of both Michigan Stadium video boards (one in each end zone), the addition of columns onto the existing structures, equipment upgrades in the Crisler Center control room and production studio, and the installation of a new sound system for the seating bowl and stadium concourse.
